The Hudson River Group Association (HRCA),the River Communities Coalition of Yonkers (RCCY), The Pals of Trevor Park (FoTP), and Yonkers Committee for Sensible Improvement (YCSD) have joined collectively in opposing the city of Yonkers’ plan to permit a private developer to build their parking facility in the midst of JFK Marina (rendering connected).
After many conferences with metropolis officials it’s clear that the developer of the Glenwood Energy Plant desires to build on our parks. The developer must be required to place their parking on their own land - not ours. The Lela Goren Group assured that the proposed parking construction won't obstruct the river view from the Hudson River Museum at the top of the hill, however did not be certain that the river view stay visible for park-goers on the japanese facet of the hill.
